Customizing Ezgo Txt Series Carts Is Not Such A Good Idea. Melted FNR Switch Results.
Customizing Ezgo Txt Series Carts Is Not Such A Good Idea. How do I know? What makes me the expert to say such a thing? I don’t proclaim to be “an expert” for we all know an “ex”, well is just that and a spurt is a far comparison to a stream! However, I do own a golf cart dealership. We see hundreds of golf carts every year as we repair them in our service department.
It is my experience and opinion based on real golf cart service that the two worst possible golf carts that anyone can do body lifts with large wheels and tires are any of the Club Car resistor and or v-glide, pre controller years and any of the Ezgo series carts. Don’t misunderstand me, they are good golf carts when they are used for what they were designed for. We need to be fair with Club Car and Ezgo. Two people with two golf club bags playing two rounds of golf prior to charging the batteries. That’s it! Nothing more and nothing less.Continue reading →
Ezgo Rxv Electric Brake Wiring Harness Repair Connector
Ezgo Rxv Electric Brake Wiring Harness Repair Connector. Many of the Rxv's that have a few years wear and tear on them are having intermittent electric brake failures. These failures are either the brake fails to apply or it will not release. Many a good brake assemblies are replaced with new ones just to have the same problem. Not a cheap guess for the fix!!!!
Before replacing the brake you first need to be sure that your batteries are good, charged and up to par, no pun intended! Jack the rear of the Rxv golf cart up and place on safety support shop stands. Yes, use shop stands, remember safety first will prevent catastrophes later!!! Continue reading →
How Do I Lubricate The Front End of My Ezgo Txt Golf Cart?
How Do I Lubricate The Front End of My Ezgo Txt Golf Cart? That’s a question we are asked from time to time at our dealership. Depending on your year model there are not very many lubrication points for anyone to lubricate. If your Txt is a year model from 1994 to roughly 2001 then you could have as many as five places to lubricate which all are within the steering box to tie rod ends. There is a zerx fitting at the main pivot point of the steering box at the center. And the rest of the zerx fittings are very visible on the tie rod ends.

Here’s how to tell if you’re getting a good deal on a golf cart. Part 2
In the last blog we talked about one of the many instances of some well-intentioned people who, after coming to one of our dealerships, realized that the “good deal on a golf cart” that they thought or (worse yet) felt that they got wasn’t a good deal after all. We see this every week. Every week. Good people being taken advantaged of and oftentimes down right deceived when seeking a good deal on a golf cart. Continue reading →

My Book “So You Bought a Golf Cart?: An Owner’s Guide for Learning about Golf Carts” Is Finally Available For Purchase.I worked on this project for over a year and I am finally able to see the fruits of my labor. I really thought the rapture would happen before this book was published. :0)
This work is a result of many questions that have been presented to us at our golf cart dealership from golf cart owners who just don’t know about their golf carts.
The Golf Cart’s Electrical System Is Just That: A Comprehensive System.
The Golf Cart’s Electrical System Is Just That: A Comprehensive System. What do I mean when I make that statement? Let’s liken it to the automobile’s starting system. There are several components involved when you start your car. There is the ignition switch for you to turn the key and the key itself; the wiring from the ignition switch thru a safety neutral device that prevents you from starting the car in gear; the wiring from the safety neutral device to the starter solenoid switch; the battery and the starter motor and the battery cables to take the current to the starter motor and return back to the battery on the ground side. It is a comprehensive system which needs each and every part to function properly in order for your bride not to fuss at you because the car won’t start! :0)Continue reading →
