Customizing Ezgo Txt Series Carts Is Not Such A Good Idea. How do I know? What makes me the expert to say such a thing? I don’t proclaim to be “an expert” for we all know an “ex”, well is just that and a spurt is a far comparison to a stream! However, I do own a golf cart dealership. We see hundreds of golf carts every year as we repair them in our service department.
It is my experience and opinion based on real golf cart service that the two worst possible golf carts that anyone can do body lifts with large wheels and tires are any of the Club Car resistor and or v-glide, pre controller years and any of the Ezgo series carts. Don’t misunderstand me, they are good golf carts when they are used for what they were designed for. We need to be fair with Club Car and Ezgo. Here’s how to tell if you’re getting a good deal on a golf cart. Part 2
In the last blog we talked about one of the many instances of some well-intentioned people who, after coming to one of our dealerships, realized that the “good deal on a golf cart” that they thought or (worse yet) felt that they got wasn’t a good deal after all. Maintenance services at the correct times are critical to the well being and overall performance of the golf cart. Continue reading →
Weekly, We See or Hear About “The Good Deal” Supposedly of a Friend or Neighbor That Ends up Not Being Such a Good Deal When Discovering How Much The Repairs Are Going to Cost in Order to be Able to Use The Golf Cart.
Another sucker, I mean well intentioned person joins the group of disappointed individuals who thought they were getting a steal of a deal after purchasing a cheap golf cart. Their disappointment comes from the repair cost of what it’s going to take to get the golf car running in order to be able to use it. The sad thing is the deal was made from a friend or a friend of a friend or a co-worker and a neighbor, you know, “it’s someone they can trust”.Continue reading →
Surge Protectors Are a Must For Every Golf Cart Battery Charger
I own a golf cart dealership located in North Florida. We sell and service golf carts, both electric and gas powered. There are far more electric powered golf carts than there are gas. I would say we see about a hundred electric carts to every gas powered in our service department. And right along with every electric golf cart is the golf cart’s battery charger. We have walk-ins every week bringing us their chargers for us to diagnose.
Sometimes the charger is just fine indicating that there is a problem on the golf cart which we then schedule for pickup. However, the majority of the time the initial plug in test indicates some sort of failure with the battery charger. Continue reading →
